I asked people on my list what is their biggest issue right now in building their business and the number one response was procrastination. I found that really funny because well, that was my biggest war also.
Procrastination can be a direct response (or lack of one) from fear of success. Because if you actually did everything you said you were going to do, your life could be exactly what you want it to be (not as much whining). Getting what you want actually scares most people. They'd rather reflect on what they don't have. Silly, but true. Some people get into network marketing because they want to pay off debt, have more than enough money, quit their job, but yet the really the shear reality of that scares most of them to death. Sub-conscious they won't do things because well that is a responsibility and freedom they're not willing to work for. Leaving your comfort zone for unfamiliar territory goes against everything most people are taught. Diane Hochman, in a Million Mind March call said, "The reason you don't have a huge downline yet, is because you don't want one. " Think About it. Is that true?
Joe Schroeder says in his Cash Flow Recruiting Machine: "Most don't believe in themselves enough to learn ONE MORE SKILL. In fact, most people are only ONE SKILL away from making a fortune.
Unwillingness to learn a new skill in order to increase your value to others and yourself is another form of procrastination. The thing that you are avoiding everyday by watching 4 episodes of Reba (ok, I'm guilty and I don't allow myself to watch it anymore, seriously) is the one skill that would bring you closer to your success or goal. That goes for anyone no matter what level they are at in this industry. As soon as I started to learn and do the things that I had been avoiding to grow my business that is when I started to attract more people. I do have relapses of Reba, but I repeat this saying every day.... whatever I do today will determine what my life will be like in 6 months.
Remember that you will attract the kind of people that are like you. Clearly, as the great people on my list proved to me. (Smile) Just take it one day at a time becoming the right kind of person and see your circle of influence grow! You Don't Have to Get it Right. You Just Have to Get it Going. Get it Going Here.
